Best Thoughts For Success

The one factor that will influence your success or keep you from it is your mindset. You can occupy your mind with the best thoughts for success or you can surrender your mind to the greatest enemy of your success, negative thoughts.

As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.( Proverbs 23:7)

Depending on how you use your mindset, you are choosing to live a life of success and happiness or one filled with stress, regrets and complaints.

Regardless of what you want to achieve in life, setting yourself up for success starts with thinking the best thoughts for success and adopting the right mindset.

Best thoughts for success. What does it mean?

Do you know how much strategy and mindset determine success? It doesn’t matter what strategy you decide to use to be successful in life. A strategy is just 20% of what you do, but your mindset is 80%!

The only way you can achieve more remarkable results in your life is to develop the right mindset. This will help you make better decisions and get the outcomes you desire.

Why should you think good thoughts for success?

You may have heard a million times that you need to take action to achieve success and that is absolutely right. I’ve said it myself and I will keep saying it.

Success won’t fall out of the sky and hit you on the head. You have to take intentional, continuous action to be successful and to stay that way.

However, your thoughts precede your actions.

Every action you have ever taken in your entire life began as a thought in your mind and this is why you should think good thoughts to be successful.

Best Thoughts for Success: Powerful Ways To Practice Them

There are powerful ways that you can improve your life and achieve success through your thought process. Here are 6 proven ways to cultivate positive thinking.

Best Thoughts for Success

Dismiss Negative Thoughts

Think of the most successful person you have ever known or heard of. Do you think they give attention to the negative thoughts that make an unsolicited appearance in their minds? I will leave you to answer that.

What I mean by unsolicited appearance is that your thoughts are automatic. It arrives in your mind the moment it is generated.  The key is to not engage in knee-jerk reactions.

You can dismiss negative, unwanted thoughts by training your mind to react differently. You will develop new habits and good thought patterns when you do.

Challenge Yourself With New Situations

Success is never an easy process and it comes with challenges that you must overcome.

You may shy away from challenging situations or environments outside your comfort zone because you believe the outcome won’t be in your favor. This will restrict your growth as a person and reduce your chances of achieving success.

Instead adopt a “growth mindset” which, according to Stanford psychologist Carol Dweck, will allow you to thrive on challenges and use failure to catapult your abilities and growth process.

Train Your Brain

You train your dogs, cats and kids to develop certain habits and behave a certain way. In this same manner you can train your brain. You can partner up with your kids, spouse, or a friend to do brain-teasing exercises.

By training your brain you can:

  • Improve your memory
  • Take less time to learn new things, like a new language
  • Reduce the chances of getting diseases like Dementia and Alzheimer’s as you get older.

Don’t know how to train your brain? Here are 8 ways to train your brain to learn faster and remember more.

Think About The Person You Want To Become

I am not referring to the law of attraction or manifestation here, although these things do have their place.

I am talking about the power of visualization.

What better version of yourself will you become when you have attained success? Whatever that person looks like, start impersonating her now!

By doing this you will gain the self-confidence you need to follow through and fulfil your dreams because you already know what the end result looks and feels like.

Here is a step by step guide on visualization techniques to affirm your desired outcome.

Monitoring Your Thoughts

A new study conducted by psychologists at Queen’s University in Kingston, Canada, and published in the journal Nature Communications, has revealed that humans have around 6,200 thoughts per day.

The psychologists used a method that detected the beginning and the end of a thought and separated specific times when a person was focused on the same idea called “thought worms.”

It is already established that your thoughts are the most critical part of your journey to success. Monitoring your thoughts is not easy when you have 6200 thoughts per day but it has to be done.

You can monitor your thoughts by being aware of them.  Awareness stems from the practice of mindfulness. This means you are aware of your thoughts, how it’s making you feel and how you are likely to act.

This method will allow you to dismiss undesirable thoughts and replace them with positive ones which will lead to desirable actions.

Learn Something New Every Day

The brain, like other muscles in your body, needs to be exercised to function at its best. You can exercise your brain by learning new things.

It is a known fact by scientists that the brain continues to develop throughout our teenage years and it was thought that the development stopped once the brain reached maturity.

That is no longer the case as recent data suggests that your brain continues its development throughout your life.  Brain cells grow and form connections with new cells.

Research has shown that learning rewires the brain.

Scientists have done a lot of studies to see how certain parts of the brain respond when certain activities are being done. The scientists wanted to find out which regions of the brain become active when people learn new tasks.

The same areas of the brain that allow people to pay attention were the same areas that became most active as a new task began.

As you continue to develop your success mindset, engage in continuous learning and absorb all the knowledge necessary to get you from where you are to where you want to be.
